Hello & Welcome

I create handmade leather belts made from J&E Sedgwick’s premium full grained vegetable tanned bridle leather.

You can either  choose from my collection of Traditional English Buckles or from my collection of Italian Designer Buckles.

Every belt is hand stitched using a double hand saddlers stitch, stitched 10 to the inch with 3 cord 18 linen thread. A wide selection of solid brass or nickel buckles. 7 oval holes as opposed to round holes - this is because oval holes allow the buckle tongue to lay flat in place without kinking or straining the leather.

The Importance of Quality

Materials
All belts are made using only the highest quality materials. The leather is selected from J&E Sedgwick’s premium full grained vegetable tanned bridle butts. English bridle leather is considered to be the finest bridle leather in the world, renowned for its superb looks, strength and it’s long lasting durability. The belts are all hand stitched using the finest quality 3cord/18 Irish linen thread, waxed with pure beeswax. Traditional high quality belt and harness buckles made of solid brass. Also available with a nickel silver finish.

Craftsmanship
Having worked as a saddler and Harnessmaker since 1985, I pride myself in producing work of the highest standard. Every belt is individually made to order to accommodate the exact needs and requirements of the client. All belts are entirely hand made using traditional skills and methods used in the saddlery trade for hundreds of years. The belts are all hand stitched 10 to the inch, using a saddlers double hand stitch. Every belt comes with either one or two fixed keepers (belt loops), depending on the design of the buckle, and with one running keeper. The keepers are made and finished to the same exacting standards as the rest of the belt.

The result is a good looking, high quality belt that will last for years and years. Weather you need it for formal dress, for work or just as a fashion statement, your belt will be a belt you can be proud of. If you can’t see a belt you like or the size you need, or you are looking for something more specific, please feel free to contact me for a bespoke belt made to your exact requirements.
